I have successfully imported my model into the FPM Editor and into the game but for reasons unknown to me the texture is not being applied in the game. Do I have to do something in milkshape for this to happen? (I know very little about milkshape, I just use the program to convert the model from the .obj format to .ms3d format)

I don't know anything about milkshape but you can apply a texture in FP.

Hi,

Not sure if this could have any impact on the mapping...
But - is the texture size a "Power of 2"? i.e. 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096.

Reference: FP Manual - "The Texture Manager"

Is the model itself red in color? All the models I have seen are white. If it is, try setting it to white.

If that doesn't work, try setting the ramp to something other than a toy in the FPM Editor. It is worth a shot.

Have you mapped the texture to the model?
UV Mapper is good for that.

tried Popotte's suggestion of running UV Mapper but it kept reporting my model has 'constraints outside of boundaries" whatever that means..... But I got it to work, can you believe it was a simple matter of incompatable file type. It appears FP cannot map a png texture. changing it to bmp fixed it. although the texture mapping isnt great, I wil just accept it as it is. Table is nearly ready!
