That is an amazing post, well done. I have a much better :o understanding of FP now.

Thanks, I'm glad someone is getting some use out of it. I wrote some of the other guides that I've linked from here, like the BAM installation guide.

You're welcome!!! I have been updating it. I just revised the section on custom balls, step 22.

I have just revised this guide as follows:

Step 17 - I revised this step to address FP crashing after some folks installed the Zed version of the Future Pinball executable.

Step 22 - I added this step on how you can change tables from a "Night" version to a "Day" version.

Step 12i - I changed this step after writing Step 22 to say that you can create your own low quality version of textures for a lower end PC.

Step 27 - I revised the directions on how to create custom physics to incorporate what I have learned since I wrote it.

I made a few other minor editorial changes also. If you see something that needs to be changed, please let me know by posting a reply.

I made a few additions to this guide:

On Step 8, I added a section at the end that discusses "Vertical Sync".

On Step 12, I added a bulleted section with some suggestions that Ravarcade made that can help lower end PCs.

Concerning FPS, it's just showing you the FPS that CPU/GPU produce, not the FPS on your screen. If you have a screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz (common screen) and 150 FPS, you just have 60 FPS on your screen.
For a screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate, if you have more than a solid 80 FPS on all your tables, check Vertical Sync (no tearing and sluttering).
But if your FPS are sometimes under 60 FPS, uncheck Vertical Sync in order to avoid very low FPS and stuttering.

That's great that peoples continue to help others into Futurepinball. It's a great software. Beside that i try to understand more Blender 3d software version 2.76b, because it is the latest for my old Windows XP SP3; and there are still peoples that use this old operating system. Specially that i have an old image scanner that the drivers is only for Windows XP.

I hope that my Milkshape3D free pdf guide has helped peoples know how to use this software? To create your own Milkshape3d model, texture your model and import it into FP trough the software FPMeditor. As so peoples can put there own 3D models into the FP table.

There are other softwares that i try to learn, that i also have the permissions and authorizations to do some printscreens of it, to put into some pages of other guides.

Well i'm glad that my "futurepinball free pdf guides" has helped many peoples, still used and popular around the world.

A+

I have revised the text under the screen shot on Step 8 with your comments.

Thanks,

Finally getting around to installing BAM in my cabinet.
You have provided an excellent guide with lots of insider tips ;)

I have successfully installed the program and will use it initially just to load the various physics options.

Many thanks for your guide..
