The link to the following article says that all the Bally/Williams tables (60 of their 90+ tables) on The Pinball Arcade (TPA) are no longer going to be available after June 30th. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/05/ ... e-you-can/I don't have TPA but I'm thinking about buying it so I can have them before they go away. I have seen some videos of their tables and they don't seem all that much different than FP. Am I wrong? According to the article, all of these tables will no longer be available: The Addams Family Attack from Mars Banzai Run Black Knight Black Knight 2000 Black Rose Bram Stoker's Dracula Cactus Canyon Centaur The Champion Pub Creature from the Black Lagoon Cyclone Diner Doctor Who Dr. Dude & HIs Excellent Ray Earthshaker Eight Ball Deluxe Elvira and the Party Monsters F-14 Tomcat Fathom Fireball Firepower Firepower II Fish Tales Fun House The Getaway: High Speed 2 Gorgar High Speed Hurricane Indianapolis 500 Jack Bot Judge Dredd Junk Yard The Machine: Bride of Pin•Bot Medieval Madness Monster Bash No Fear: Dangerous Sports No Good Gofers Paragon The Party Zone PIN•BOT Red and Ted's Road Show Safe Cracker Scared Stiff Sorcerer Space Shuttle Spanish Eyes Star Trek: The Next Generation Swords Of Fury Tales of the Arabian Nights Taxi Terminator 2: Judgment Day Theatre of Magic Twilight Zone White Water Whirlwind WHO Dunnit Wild Card World Champion Soccer Xenon George

I also read that. The behavior of Bally/Williams is a shame because they know that TPA's company is going to close. Also, I don't know how a company can base its incomes on timed license, unbelievable! What a mess and a disaster

TPA is a polished commercial product that you pay for. If it goes out of business you may lose tables as it is through steam for PC I think

I installed TPA for free on my PC and got Tales of the Arabian Nights for free. To be honest, the playfield looked pretty grainy and I couldn't find any controls that improved it. I'd rather play Smoke's version. I think I will pass on buying any more tables.
I did read that they will continue to support those that bought the tables that they will no longer sell.

The phone app is great for learning the Rules both playing a game and having the interactive rules tutorial alongside are great to have while trying to figure out code for FP TPA is great. It of course doesn't allow 3d or VR and we can't tweak it the way we like it. I think I read that everyone had to repurchase all their tables after one of the updates to steam? (For PC TPA users) But it runs smooth and the physics are quite good. Rav has enabled head tracking for TPA , so that's cool. And of course FP has a greater table selection and original tables

I did finally figure out how to improve the graphics on TPA on my PC. You have to go to the following folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PinballArcade\
then run "PBAConfig.exe" in the folder so you can increase the resolution.
There is also a "PinballArcade11.exe" that runs TPA with DirectX11 which is a bit better. Even so, I'm not crazy about how the camera follows the ball.

I'm wondering how it could affect the usage of the tables after closure. Gimili wrote: If it goes out of business you may lose tables as it is through steam for PC I think Gimli is this an actual possibility? I thought when you buy through Steam you own the game, but I've only used Steam for a 3 or 4 games in my lifetime. -mark
