Wow :o ...
after a very very long time of absence, i took a look here to GoPinball and i just see this good news.
great job guys
thanks.

some question:
1. "nVidia PhysX Engine.", does it mean, without an nVidia card, i can not use unit3d pinball?
2. using old FPT files, are there any limits - except of the long load time? can all tables be reused, FP Physics >=1.0 and FP Zedpinball Physics >=1.0?
3. is there a plan to make a linux version as well?

Where are you getting this NVidia PhysX engine statement? Did I miss another post about this?

I'm assuming it's a result of the PhysX logo on the unit3d homepage.

on the website there is written
Quote:
The simulation is driven by the nice Unity3D Engine which uses the NVidia PhysX Engine.

but today my brain is working a tiny bit better
i think it is meant that nVidia PhysX is used if available, and if not, it is fully software driven, without any hardware acceleration except of that, what your CPU can accelerate with special features.

Don't worry about physx engine, even if you have an ATI card, the CPU takes the relay.

About FPT tables, we try to do our best to import most of them.

About their physics, only FP editor object's parameters are imported (materials, strength, softness, etc....)

But all physics parameters can now be tweaked in our own in game editor( physic materials object by object,or global simulation parameters lke i show you with this capture)

I'm curious and perplexed. Given the levels reached by FP + BAM + ZED and VPpm5 , it becomes difficult to make something better.
Anyway I downloaded the beta version , but there is no setup.exe. How do I install? In the tables remade there are many files. Where are loaded?
Sorry for the inconvenience and greetings
Gianfranco

hi gianfranco

At the moment, Alpha version can be downloaded, not the Beta(we hope releasing it during this month)

You just need to extract the rar file where you want and replace your current vpinmame.dll by the one we provide in the archive.

You'll find all infos needed to install it there :

Just wanted to say that the Beta version looks and plays amazing!

Favs for now are Terminator, Elvira and AFM. Hope to see more tables converted soon but WOW, this is the way to go in my opinion.
