Recently downloaded the new XMEN, greatat table but I'm having trouble placing the segment DMD in a position off the translight where it will be displayed in the backbox.
All help will be appreciated.
I.m not very good @ coding but I have a feeling that coding will be require.
I've read a tutorial on how to create a segment DMD but can't figure out how to position it in the translight.

I looked at the table and noticed there is no segmented display but there is a DMD.

I think what you want to do is the switch the display from having the HUD DMD work to having the Backbox DMD work. It doesn't require any coding if you just want to switch DMDs. Just click on the Translite view in the FP editor. You can delete the HUD DMD in the upper left hand corner of the translite (click on it and press delete). Then click of the other DMD and change the name of the DMD from MyDmdxxx to MyDmd. That will make it work.

It would require coding if you want both DMDs to work at the same time.

George:I think I convoluted my problem. All I want is to have the existing DMD, play in the designated window space in the back box. I did not create a new DMD as I'm still learning how to build in FP. I know you have done wonderful guides and maybe you could direct me to one for creating tables. Thnx

You don't need to create a new DMD. There is one in the correct location already but it does not work. You just change the name of it from MyDmdxxx to MyDmd but you have to delete the HUD DMD first.

Ok george, I know we are real close --- I deleted the DMD from the translite, now how do i rename it. I know this sounds crazy but I don't have a DMD to rename because I just deleted it.

George: I finally figured it out, I went back to your original reply and followed the easy instructions and it works. I had about 5 tables with the same problem out of 85 in my cabinet. Thanks again!
