Hi Gimli,

Your reply is much appreciated. I don't have a 3D tv so have set to use desktop Kinect rather than Kinect so skeletal tracking is not an option. I chose this method as I simply couldn't get the Kinect option to calibrate correctly whereas desktop kinect needs no real calibration & to be fair, this works adequately, just not as well as I've seen on other people's cabinets, and my nerdy side wants perfection. The 3D tv upgrade may have to wait a while as I only got the cabinet at Christmas & I can't justify the spend or switchover time just yet.

I've seen how much ongoing development ravarcade put's into BAM so I'll be patient. Things will develop further I'm sure.

Thanks again for the advice & reassurance that I've probably got things as good as I can at this stage.

All the best.

Nick

There is a "hidden" kinect camera adjuster that you may not have discovered?
After you successfully calibrate for skeletal tracking, if you select skeleton and press enter, it lets you toggle camera for x,y,z on the fly...

BAM is a true work of art.

I've had a v brief look this evening and there's definite scope there for improving what I currently have. I'll hopefully get a bit more time to dig over the weekend. Thanks for the tip, really useful.

Big up to you & George for the help and advice.

Now that I think of it, kinect1 calbration has been a little buggy with recent versions of BAM... so using an older version circa > 1 year ago may yield better results (ie prior to kinect2 implementation) there is a post somewhere where rav gave a link to all versions of BAM

Also there are certain files in the BAM directory that are added as you calibrate and apply settings that you can delete to start from a clean slate...

You guys are awesome.

So much still for me to learn here but I now know much more than I did.

Thanks you again. I'll let you know how I get on asap.

Interesting results. Backed up the existing BAM folder and then deleted the installation. Installed an older copy as recommended but no better results so just overwrote with my original copy and now it all works better than before (still not perfect but improved non the less) go figure!

Happy over all and grateful for the help and advice. If I figure out why the results are better I'll let you know. Maybe its just my perception rather than an actual improvment but I'm happy enough with the current setup.

Cheers again.
