I worked on a new game and was making a fun flyer for it like a magazine cover, and thought that it would be a really good idea to have a digital magazine, showing off our games, maybe in .cbr format or pdf. What do you guy's think ? If this site picks up and we have more game makers, have them send us articles they wrote, or tips, or future games they are thinking about making, 3d models. Just like a real gaming magazine. Of course it doesn't have to be monthly maybe just yearly. But it is an interesting idea and i really would read the magazines we put together. I think it would be cool.

In fact just post the pages here, new cover pages, or even articles. Then it would save time and effort. ;) maybe make them using layouts from old gaming magazines.

I've worked on a similar project some time ago (not about FP) and I have to say it's such a bunch of work to do that, and needs a lot of time (time we could be making/playing pinballs).

Not my intention to discourage you on this idea, but maybe you could do something separately in the forum instead of doing all the magazine.

Some examples I would read for sure:

- You could do an analysis of a FP pinball (specially originals and new ones, but never one made by yourself) part by part and with pictures, to interest the people to play it.
- You could interview HappyCap, Popotte, Rom or any of our godsent, to know what pinballs they plan to do next, how they knew about FP, their first pinball, etc.
- You could interview Lio and Black and ask them to return, we need them back. Please!
- You could simply speak ill of Tii with a list of Cons and Cons about his conduct (we have material to make a Top 10, lol) <-- I didn't say that, I promise!
- You could make a nice comparative "article" (for dummies) with the differences of using Default, Zed, Bam, 2.5, 2.6, Custom, who-knows-what-more.

Doing ONE of these things (or similar ideas) monthly would be nice for the community without spending a lot of your time.

It is a very beautiful idea but it has to generate quite a lot of work, no?

What is your intention at the level of the distribution of such a publication?

Good info Wecoc and momoch. I didn't think into this too far. Just a simple idea, because i remember back when Genesis, and Snes was new i used to read the magazines all the time.. with much excitement. There wont be a "real" publication momoch, these posts are the actual pages, and i suppose if the first magazine gets done the second issue will just be to open another (subject topic in this forum) So i won't be printing these out  LOL.. just a type of digital magazine. free for anyone to post any cool looking pages.

well the 2 pages i made so far took less than 1 hour. I won't be doing it all the time. But sometimes i like to take a break from making games, and playing games. also why i posted this in the Side Project section.. (makes sense) :) There are not that many of us, but I usually see a new game or a fixed version every month about 3 or 4 new ones. So this magazine idea can focus on these things. + I would not personally use this to only promote my stuff, but everyones stuff, and i take NO sides.. and have nothing against Mr.Tii.. Also the really neat part.. (anyone) can make a page 3 so it can be a community magazine, where everyone can ad pages, or commercial of their pinball game, website, and so on. Just an idea. But it could be a fun section to check once in a while in this forum.

page 6, advertisement style. i didn't include GoPinball because you are allready on this site. LOL.. just some really good pinball sites i visit once in a while. If we had a "real" magazine i guess we could charge for advertising. Looks like there is already a pinball magazine LOL. http://www.pinball-magazine.com/ but this can focus on software, Future Pinball, modeling, online games. So maybe they are not really similar. + it's sort of a forum magazine idea.
