This is a great little creation Steve. The only issue I had with it when using it for IRON MAN are the covers that go over the Pinbelts. FP's phsyics tend send the ball flying into the air whenever it hits a surface lying on the pf....even if it's only set to 1 high. Impossible to fix but easy to control with an invisable 'ball control' surface directly above the magnet (set to around 40 high).

Keep modelling Steve, I always find a use for everything you create!

you need yo make that cover uncollidable but renderable.

MyCover.collidable=false
MyCover.render=true

Doesn't work, if uncollidable the ball makes contact with the pinbelt underneath and stops the ball dead or falls through the playfield. Best used as an active magnet rather than a magnet that remains dormant until activated I think.

It is amazingly affective though as you'll soon see in Iron Man.

Steve, is it possible to get themagnet model as half it's size? (Between 30 to 35 diameter ) I have a use for this, but the model is just too big for my purposes. Thanks if you can. I guess the dummyball model would have to be resized as well.

You mean just the plate with ripple? If yes, I can resize it no problem let me know the exact size in mm.

...the magnet is simply a trick made of 8 pinbelts, but you could as well use only one common kicker. the whole illusion is only the shaking ball levitating on the plate. So the dummyball doesnt need to be resized, it is just a sphere the size of the ball.

Thanks, but I just noticed it keeps messing up on my computer. Sometimes, it just keeps going, and doesn't kick the ball back out. The ball traps, you get the effects, but at the end, the ball disappears and it runs it's routine again, so you lose a ball in play every time it runs. So if it runs 3 times at the first ball, game is over.

I will have a look at the code and see what it may be, if I can understand it of course. :)
