Is there a script that can destroy a ball trapped on the playfield?
There's some tremendous tables out there, only to be let down by the fact that balls get lost behind walls and guides or disappear from the table completely.
I'm OK with creating a ball to replace the one that disappears, but sometimes the trapped ball has an unwanted effect on the game's ability to track the number of balls in play. Better to make it go away first, then create a new ball.

nope....
you have to create a new ball. Some tables, script a "find lost ball" and create a new one for you.
I don't think it will destroy it though....I am not certain...

only a couple of tables so far that I have tweaked have "save game/crash recovery"
which lets you save the game at it's current state and reload it later from where you left off, but with no trapped ball

Thanks Gimli,

Looks like The "save game/crash recovery" option is worthwhile exploring. The most nagging problem with the trapped ball is that tilt recovery won't work because the program knows all the balls have not drained from the play field. That being the case, when I came to think of it, destroying the ball where it;s trapped probably would not be the answer to the problem.
Thanks for replying, though. I'm still a noob at this, but I'm picking things up ll the time, thanks to good people like yourself.

Have a great Xmas
