Hi,

Problem is known - instead of high scores you get some strange 777777777 values.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijX2WL-tSyI

What I have found here is this :

"paste this at the end of the script

Function FormatScore(num)
Dim n, f, s
n = CStr(num)
f = ""

do while len(n)>3
if len(f)>0 then
f = Right(n, 3) & "," & f
else
f = Right(n, 3)
end if
n = Left(n, Len(n)-3)
loop
if len(n)>0 then
if len(f) > 0 then
f = n & "," & f
else
f = n
end if
end if
FormatScore = f
End Function

Make a Find and replace in the script for...
Find: FormatNumber
Replace: FormatScore

And another one:
Make a Find and replace in the script for...
Find: , 0, -1, 0, -1
Replace: (Leave the space blank, so the numbers are deleted)

Cursor must be on to the top of the script before any search and replac"

My question is : do I have to edit every one table script with that "-1" bugged line or is there any other tip that could save me a lot of work?

Cheers

I remember that there are something about regional language, ore measure, settings of windows, but I can't remember anything else

Yes, it's a problem with regional settings. In some country (like France, switzerland and many others), the thousand separator is not the same as Usa / UK. Unfortunatly, FP rely on the fact that a coma (it may also be a simple quote by the way ;) ) is the separator (while in France it's a dot...).

On a side note: I find it quite strange that the decimal separator is a "dot" in US / UK, because in maths, the dot is also used for an operator (if I recall correctly, cross/dot product or something like that - I have long forgotten my maths years). That's probably why we don't do this in France (and we never write the thousand separator when doing calculus - so no mistake possible).

You are correct Nalex.
You can check which countries use comma or dot here

The x used as product symbol are worldwide accepted, but is replaced in later studies to distinguish it from the x used as unknown. In some english math text the dot used for multiplier are placed in the middle of the line of writing.

TheNalex - thx to you I've found the solution

control panel -> clock language region -> FORMATS

All I had to do was change formats to eng (na).

Now all tables are working correctly - thx again TheNalex :)

Oh, I see so no error possible too then. Promise I won't speak about the metric systems (and the other one, you know with inch, feet and so on ;) )
