Ok, I finally understood Paolo's idea.

Here is a demo table using BAM's new features for Zipper Flippers.
In honor of Franzleo

Franzleo's table uses invisible flippers and a superimposed Zipper Flipper Toy.
When we released this table a few years back we came up with a system where the hidden flippers wouldn't collide with each other and it wasn't perfect and was a big pain in the butt

Now with BAM's recent miniplayfield features we can move some objects and move their physics...BUT with flippers we can only make them Collidable = True or False

So with this table...I grabbed all 4 invisible flippers (2 right and 2 left) each in their own MP
and then made them collidable or not as needed.

Then I also grabbed the Zipper flipper toys using MP and superimposed them on the invisible flippers as needed.

It works great !! ( it needs a little Tweaking and coding of the flipper shadows, but it is a proof of concept )

If you wish to try here is the WIP table:
NOT WORKING NOW

"B" and "M" keys are cheats to turn zipper flippers on/off

Thanks Rav and Paolo and here's to Franzleo (Gianfranco)

Enjoy !

Thanks Gianfranco(Franzleo)this is in memory of you, my friend :D

This should work now...
When I switched to invisible flippers from visible the MP parameters needed tweaking

I added ball sounds, flipper dynamics, physics, removed flipper shadows on invisible flippers
I also added the missing songs that we didn't include in the original release.

The Juke box is turned on with Special key and then you can pick a song or turn songs off...

Paolo you can change any off this in you upgrade...I just thought I would add the stuff while I had a minute

I seem to remember another table that had zipper flippers. I think it had 4 flippers and the upper flippers zipped automatically at certain times during the game. I thought it was on FP or it may have been a video of a real table or VP table. ...Or maybe I'm dreaming.

I think Nip it was the first and as far as I know only FP table with Zipper Flippers (It was seen as a great innovation by Franzleo at the time)

I just increase the bumpers strength to spice it up a bit and I Set "L" as the default key for the Bally Gator (see if keycode = 38 in script to change) Using the Bally Gater is the key to the game and very fun...just keep pressing "L" as the ball goes by to grab it and it will increase your bonus:

there is no problem, no, you can add whatever you think is appropriate, when you finish your additions, I will put what I have in mind,I like to collaborate, you know that well, no? :D

also because, all the bam code, for zipper, must be inserted in the sub-routine, of belonging, that is when the zipper activates.

that's what I had in mind

1)dynamics flipper
2)ball trail
3)light that change colors
4)real zipper(almost)
5)playfield, clearer
6)toy alligator
7)rolling ball sound
8)custom physics(of george wants)
9)???????

but I repeat I like to collaborate, I don't want to do everything myself, to take all the credit, absolutely not......I do it in memory of Gianfranco ,that I can't forget
:D

Sounds like fun thing to work on together in the next couple weeks....
It's a simple and fun table

It was the table that was in the Restaurant in Happy Days TV show
