** Medieval Madness - ULTRA Edition 1.11 **

A special Future Pinball Exclusive version of arguably the greatest pinball game ever made. Huge thanks to Francisco for recreating the table and for allowing me to share this ULTRA Edition mod.

**Table tested and works perfectly with the old and new physics **

** Version 1.11 ** (Final)

- Trolls will no longer disappear at random times
- Troll hit sounds separated for each Troll
- When either Troll is defeated only the taunts from the remaining Troll will play
- Peasant Ramp improved for a smoother shot
- fixed Castle Hurry Up still counting down when ball is lost
- fixed Castle Multiball activating during normal Troll mode
- powerful shots to Peasant Ramp no longer cause the ball to jump off the ramp
- added invisible walls to bumper area to stop the ball getting stuck
- added sound effect when extra players join the game
- added invisible wall to Apron to prevent the ball from getting stuck there
- moved the right spotlight so it no longer appears to be floating in mid air
- Dragon Ramp improved so the 'Dragon Whip' effect is less dramatic
- Skill Shot improved: The ball will now fall between the 2 Rollover Lanes so you can nudge to either one easily for the Skill Shot reward (Physics 2.2 only)
- added more time to Castle Hurry Up after the Damsel is rescued
- fixed Catapult destroying the castle
- ball exiting the Right Orbit will now avoid the Right Sling and can be caught in the Right Flipper (most of the time)
- Sling Shots improved
- Spotlight bulbs now remain lit throughout game
- more mechanical sounds added
- flasher sequence added for Rollover Skill Shot

** Version 1.10 **

- fixed Damsel lights and diverter not resetting after any Damsel Multiball (properly fixed this time)
- fixed backglass lights not turning back on after game finishes
- fixed Catapult lights so they blink at the correct speed after any Catapult Multiball
- fixed SkillShot so it works with every new ball
- red lights added to skulls on the castle wall
- light added to left ramp
- flasher sequences improved
- some timers altered to allow DMD to correctly display information
- table optimized a bit more for better performance

** Version 1.09 **

- fixed Skill Shot lights not resetting for each new ball
- fixed mediation error when Merlin Prize is running

** Version 1.08 **

- fixed FP crashing at end of game (properly this time)
- skill shot for Top Rollover is now random. Miss the shot and Payne will laugh at you
- added a better sound for a hit to the castle's portcullis
- added a Fourth Place highscore to the attract DMD sequence
- fixed the Damsel ramp which wouldn't reset after any Damsel multiball

** Version 1.07 **

- fixed FP crashing at end of game

** Version 1.06 **

- Troll Bombs can now be used during Royal Madness
- fixed a timer that didn't reset at the end of Royal Madess
- Dansel Tower Diverter now resets after Dansel Multiball Madness
- defeating Payne will no longer restart Payne. Each subsequent castle hit scores 750k until Battle for the Kingdom begins.
- moved the gate in front of Merlin's Kicker forward slightly to avoid the ball getting stuck
- added a Tilt Check: If no ball is returned within 10 seconds the table will reset for a new ball
- Catapult can now only be fired when options are rotating on DMD
- table speed increased
- fixed Castle Gate not lowering
- Orbit shots improved in both directions
- improved backglass lighting
- improved playfield lighting
- Catpult shot now counts as a castle hit (in normal play only)

** Version 1.05 **

- fixed lights not resetting after tilt
- added more mechanical sounds
- numerous other minor tweaks

** Version 1.04 **

- fixed Jackpots not resetting after multiball
- fixed tilt not resetting the table rendering the rest of the game unplayable
- increased bumper power
- fixed Royal Madness music not playing after Extra Ball award
- fixed Royal Madness mode not resetting after completion or drain
- Castle Hurry Up now ends when Royal Madness starts

ULTRA Edition features:

- New apron and cabinet textures
- Dynamic lighting effects added
- New sounds added (mechanical and quotes)
- New music tracks added (Intro, HighScore, End of Game)
- Super Skill Shot added (hold Left Flipper when ball launches)
- Explosion holograms added when castle is hit/destroyed
- Added a graphic to HUD DMD
- New HUD display added which keeps a running tally of players progress
- Catapult shot counts as a castle hit every time (including Hurry Up)
- Castle now catches fire when it's ready to be destroyed
- Death Save added to right outlane
- New interactive match sequence added. Win the mini game to keep playing
- New gameroom texture
- New Williams Flippers added
- Added a Flashing Fire button model to cabinet
- During multiball, camera now locks to a static position
- Fake ROM check added when game first starts
- Fixed Merlin Kicker so ball will lock each time
- Fixed ball getting stuck behind right troll target
- Right Ramp improved for better shots
- Catapult now has slightly more power
- Spelling F-I-R-E now awards 1 Troll Bomb
- Table optimized for maximum performance
- 2 extra rollover lights added to backwall for better view
- ball rolling sound added


The ultimate goal of MM is to light all the Blue Lights in the centre of the playfield and start the Battle For The Kingdom multiball mode. Each Blue Light is lit by completing the following tasks:

- CASTLE CRUSHER: defeat all the kings (including Payne) by destroying all the castles.

- JOUST CHAMPION: Win 3 Joust Tournaments by completing the Left or Right Orbits.

- CATAPULT ACE: Fire 3 objects (Bowling Ball, Cat, Cow....etc) at the castle.

- PATRON OF THE PEASANTS: Complete 3 peasant revolts by hitting the Left Ramp.

- DEFENDER OF DAMSELS: Defeat the Dragon and rescue the Damsel 3 times.

- MASTER OF TROLLS: Defeat 8 Troll attacks.

Royal Madness Mode is a single ball Wizard Mode which is only activated when all Madness Multiball Modes are completed.

The on screen HUD will keep track of your progress throughout the game


- Toggle HUD key will alternate the onscreen HUD options
- Plunger Key uses Troll Bombs (counts as 1 Troll hit when used) and can only be used in normal Troll mode or Royal Madness Mode. See HUD for the amount of bombs you have

SUPER SKILL SHOT - hold the Left Flipper immediately after the ball has been launched, it will complete the orbit and head towards the Flippers. Hit the Right or Left Ramp to get 250,000 before the Skill Shot Timer runs out

Medieval Madness ULTRA 1.11 (.fpt file only)

Medieval Madness ULTRA 1.11 - PinCab (.fpt file only)

Medieval Madness Authentic Edition 1.11 (.fpt file only)

Known Issues:

- The Autoplunger may not fire a ball in the plunger lane if the table is nudged at the precise same time.

- The Dragon Ramp may sometimes appear to whip the ball around, this is the Dragon's tail
striking out at you (actually it's a helper and hidden kicker to get the ball up the ramp but the Dragon's tail thing sounds better).

- Some of the original table's quotes are missing including my favourite line "They took our shrubary!"

i've got an MM in my local arcade (in not best condition, which plays a little rough)... if i could choose from either having that real, or this ULTRA, i would pick the ULTRA! no joke!

thanks to francisco & slam for making this possible... this plays totally awesome with 2.2 tweaks!

Holy crap this is awesome.. The genius table recreation from Francisco with some epic-sauce by Slam. Looks and plays amazing with phy 2.2. Thanks for this treat.

Thanks you guys (Francisco and Slam) for this awesome table! Fantastic job Slam on your Ultra treatment! I think n3X_VI said it all when he said he would rather have this than the real one at his local arcade :D Plays beautiful with the 2.2. Thanks for lifting spirits around here by releasing this at this time :)
