Post subject:  Hardware for a Pincab...

Hey everyone,

I'm sure a lot of people in this community have built pinball cabinets, and I'm starting myself on that project. It's going to take me a while because I plan to build a dedicated machine for it, and build it all myself. I'm not going to rush it because I want it done right and document the process so that if a friend ever wants one for a donation, I will have my notes and whatnot.

That being said, I know its 2018 and Future Pinball itself hasn't been updated since 2010, but BAM adds a whole lot more to it, so I'm curious (in everyones opinion) what hardware I should think about grabbing for the pincab build? Obviously the cheaper the better, but I don't want to limit myself on the tables I can play, I want this machine to be able to handle everything I throw at it.

-What Intel Processor should i be looking at?
-What Nvidia graphics cards will handle it?
-How much RAM should I grab?
-What about Buttons for the cabinet?
-I've heard the iPAC is a good button-to-keyboard device for mapping the buttons. Any other suggestions?
-Cabinet hardware? What material should the cabinet be made out of?

I'm sure there is more, and I'm sure I could find guides out there, but most of the guides were made 8-10 years ago, and a lot of those components aren't being made anymore, but I also don't just want to go to to newegg and order the cheapest stuff because that wont work. I did my homework 10 years ago when I built my current machine, and its still going very strong, I just don't want to dedicate it to my pinball cabinet.
